The XTZ 750 Super Ténéré was Yamaha's rally-styled big twin, built around a five-valve-per-cylinder 749 cc parallel twin. A 1990 magazine test judged it more a capable sport-tourer than a true dirt bike, praising the flat torque and wind protection but noting its size, weight and weak front brake.
